What to do during Corona Time in NRW Part 2

Hello everybody. Today I will present you other possible trips in NRW during Corona Time.

Wuppertaler Zoo

Wuppertaler Zoo - Löwen
Wuppertaler Zoo - Elefantenbaby
Wuppertaler Zoo - Flamingos
Wuppertaler Zoo - Elephant

Since 18.05 the zoo in Wuppertal has opened again. Tickets must be purchased online for certain timeslots. Otherwise you are not allowed to enter the zoo. Luckily you do not have to wear a mask inside the zoo, only in the entrance area. You can move freely on the zoo ground, you just need to keep distance to other guests.
Sadly the animal enclosures in houses are closed. Buuuuuuttt there is such a cute baby elephant in this zoo. It was born in march so no one could see him till now. We stood half an hour in front of the elephant enclosure, cause we watched the baby elephant play! However the baby elephant is not the only baby in the zoo at the moment, there are plenty other baby animals to discover.

Wuppertaler Zoo - Pinguin

Königswinter

Königswinter
Königswinter - Drachenfels
Königswinter - Esel
Königswinter - Schloss Drachenburg

Königswinter is a town in the Rhein-Sieg district. Its old town is therefore located directly near by the Rhine. The city offers countless sights and stories. Especially the Drachenfels summit and Drachenburg Castle are absolute highlights of the city, which can be discovered on a footpath up the hill. From the summit you have an absolutely amazing view. The castle is fabulously beautiful and for a few moments you forget that you are only in Germany.

Brühl Castle

Schloss Brühl

Brühl Castle is one of the first important Rococo creations in Germany as the favorite residence of the Cologne elector and archbishop Clemens August from Wittelsbach. Thats why the real name of Brühl Castle is Augustusburg Castle, but no one calls it like this. Even I was surprised reading this, because nobody knows this name of the castle. But despite this, Brühl Castle is very lovely and has a nicely landscaped garden. When I was there the museum was unfortunately closed, but it is probably open again because of the new Corona Rules.
A series of classical and baroque concerts take place here every summer, this could perhaps be possible again this year.

Eifel National Park

Nationalpark Eifel - Aussichtspunkt

The Eifel National Park extends over an area of approx. 110 square kilometers. Deep blue lakes and rivers and wide dams as well as forested mountain ranges characterize the image of the nature park.
The large protected area offers e.g. wild cats, storks and other animals an almost undisturbed habitat.
Furthermore the Eifel National Park is a place that awakens the senses. Everywhere in the park you will find sensual beds or sayings about the forest. The Hirschley, located 180 meters above the Rurstausee, offers a great viewpoint. In the national park you become a part of the forest. You can hear woodpeckers knocking, feel soft moss and absorb the scent of the forest.

Just enjoy the nature in the Eifel National Park!
