In the beginning of my trip to Thailand I was curious about seeing monkeys in the real nature.
Unfortunately I did not know that they can be way more aggressive. The first time I saw a monkey was in Chiang Rai. Me and my friend made a tour till the golden triangle. On our way we made a stop at a monkey hill.
I tried to make some good pictures and while I was totally focussed on that, suddenly out of nowhere a monkey jumped on my leg. I was a bit shocked cause our tour guide told us to be careful because of the diseases, that a monkey can have. Luckily I was not bitten. The group one day before was not so lucky, a man was bitten in the arm and had to go directly to the hospital.
So it’s better to stroke elephants than monkeys ;).
